Abstract
There is no specific name of disease which exactly correspond to mallignant tumor in Korean medicine. However, JIJU(??) disease include abdominal and chest cavity mass such as benign tumor, malignant tumor, myoma, cyst and more over generally represents to cancer. so we have study around the JIJU disease and produced some results about the JIJU pathogenesis and etiological cause of JIJU The result were as follows 1. The fundamental cause of JIJU can be divided by internal, external and etiologic factors other than the internal and external. These three groups of etilogic factors act as a JIJU initiator and create stagnation of Qi, blood, moisture, heat, phlegm, and food in the body. 2. If these six types of stagnation could not be dissolved properly, and three groups of etilogic factors continue to act as a JIJU promotor, it progress to blood stagnant and phlegm. 3. If this blood stagnant and phlegm could not be healed, it progress to JIJU. the nature of JIJU is cold 4. The essential condition of JIJU is deficiency of the vital principle and excess of the pathogenic factor 5. Internal etiologic factor is cause of JIJU at the same time and JIJU induce injury of seven emotion. so there is positive feedback reaction between the two
